volunteer with us
We deeply value the contributions of all our volunteers in helping to reduce the burden of injury in Africa and improve the quality of care for trauma patients. We invite anyone interested to join the IPIFA team and volunteer in a variety of ways, whether through advocacy for injury prevention, collaborating on research initiatives, raising community awareness, or supporting training efforts. We also warmly welcome trauma survivors to become part of the IPIFA team, engage in advocacy, and help expand a community of trauma victims working together to raise awareness and address the growing incidence of injuries.
My internship at the Injury Prevention Initiative for Africa (IPIFA) was an impactful experience that broadened my understanding of global health issues and ignited a passion for advocating for positive change. The opportunity to organize the Bethune Round Table 2024 conference was a privilege to grow both personally and professionally. As an active member of the organizing committee, my role involved searching for potential partner organizations to enhance collaborative efforts, preparing meeting minutes that guide our initiatives, and program coordination. This prestigious event focused on injury and violence, bringing together leading experts to address crucial global health challenges. This hands-on experience enabled me to improve my skills in event coordination, team leadership, and effective communication while learning from experts. I am grateful for what we’ve accomplished together, and I look forward to contributing to effective injury prevention initiatives across Africa.
